We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to support local Secondary Schools within the Stockton/Billingham/Thornaby locality. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic educator with a strong commitment to teaching and a desire to inspire students of varying abilities. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons to students aged 11-18.
2. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their goals.
3. Develop engaging lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
4. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and teaching strategies.
6. Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.
7. Uphold school policies and contribute to the school’s positive culture.

Requirements:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. A degree in English or a related field.
3. Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level (KS3, KS4, and KS5 preferred).
4. Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment requirements.
5. Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
6. Passion for teaching and a commitment to student achievement and well-being.
7. Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
