What you’ll be doing:

  • Teaching Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Delivering engaging, well-planned lessons that develop computational thinking and inspire a love of technology
  • Teaching topics such as programming, algorithms, computer systems and digital literacy
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom where every student feels encouraged to succeed
  • Assessing progress, providing meaningful feedback and helping pupils reach their full potential
  • Supporting students to develop practical coding and problem-solving skills
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to the wider life of the school

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • A degree or relevant qualification in Computer Science, Computing or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Computer Science or Computing within a secondary school
  • Strong subject knowledge, including programming and computational thinking
  • Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
  • A genuine commitment to helping young people develop confidence and achieve their best
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
