We’re working with welcoming and inclusive primary schools in Enfield who are looking for a confident and qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support learning across the school. This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a role where you’ll take more ownership of learning, lead small group sessions, and occasionally cover lessons, all while helping to create a positive, supportive environment where every child can thrive. What you’ll be doing:
- Leading small group interventions across KS1 or KS2
- Supporting whole-class learning and stepping in to deliver lessons where needed
- Working closely with teachers to plan and adapt learning activities
- Providing targeted support in Phonics, Reading, Writing and Maths
- Supporting pupils 1:1 where required, helping them stay engaged and confident
- Promoting positive behaviour and creating a calm, inclusive classroom environment
- Helping children build independence, resilience and a love of learning
What we’re looking for:
- Holding a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent
- Experienced in a primary school setting, ideally in a TA or HLTA role
- Confident leading groups and comfortable covering lessons when needed
- Proactive, reliable and able to use initiative in a busy classroom
- A clear communicator who builds strong relationships with pupils and staff
- Adaptable, calm under pressure and able to think on their feet
- Passionate about supporting children’s development and progress
