A large, high-performing secondary school in Ponteland, serving pupils from across Northumberland and the outskirts of Newcastle, is seeking a dedicated Intervention Support Assistant to support targeted literacy and numeracy programmes. The Role
- Deliver small group and 1:1 intervention sessions in literacy and numeracy
- Support pupils who are working below expected levels
- Work with students with SEND including dyslexia, ADHD and processing difficulties
- Reinforce key skills such as reading comprehension, writing and basic numeracy
- Track progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Support pupils in mainstream lessons where required
You will work across KS3 and KS4, helping pupils build the foundations needed for success.
