Daily Expectations & Routine

Morning

  • Support the student’s arrival
  • Set a positive tone for the day
  • Reinforce structure and expectations

During Lessons

  • Support engagement and focus
  • Use sport-based strategies to motivate
  • Work closely with your TA partner
  • Adapt approaches depending on the student’s needs

Regulation Through Sport

  • Using movement breaks effectively
  • Supporting emotional regulation
  • Encouraging healthy outlets

Break & Lunch

  • Stay actively engaged with the student
  • Promote positive interaction
  • Use physical activity to maintain engagement

End of Day

  • Finish between 3:30pm–4:30pm, including Team debriefs
  • Behaviour tracking
  • Planning

Before September, trial shifts are encouraged to build rapport early, understand behaviour strategies and feel confident stepping into the role. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. Protocol Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
