A specialist SEN partner school in Peterlee is looking to appoint a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant ahead of the new academic year. The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs including Autism, SEMH, ADHD and associated learning difficulties. Staff work closely together to provide personalised support and create a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assisting with differentiated learning activities
- Supporting behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
- Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff
The ideal candidate will:
- Have SEN, care or support experience desirable
