Arabic-Speaking SEND Teaching Assistant in Orpington | Secondary School | Full-Time | September 2026 Start
Are you fluent in Arabic and English and passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? A friendly and inclusive secondary school in Orpington is looking to appoint a dedicated Arabic-speaking SEND Teaching Assistant for a rewarding full-time role starting in September 2026. This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact by providing 1:1 support to a secondary-aged student with SEND, helping them build confidence, achieve their potential and thrive both academically and socially.
Your Role
- Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day.
- Help the student access learning and engage confidently in lessons.
- Encourage independence, emotional wellbeing and positive social interaction.
- Use your Arabic language skills to support effective communication where needed, including liaising appropriately with the student's family.
- Work closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to deliver personalised support.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Speaks fluent Arabic and English.
- Is available Monday to Friday during school hours.
- Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH or additional needs (or transferable experience).
- Is patient, caring, resilient and proactive.
- Can build positive relationships and inspire confidence.
- Can travel to Orpington and start in September 2026.
