A friendly and community-focused primary school is looking for a calm, organised, and approachable Office Assistant to join their busy office team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the first point of contact, keeping things running smoothly, and supporting both staff and families day to day.
What you’ll be doing
- Welcoming parents and visitors, offering support and information with a friendly face
- Answering phone calls and directing enquiries to the right place
- Monitoring registers and following up on pupil absences
- Preparing fire drill schedules and related documentation
- Filing and maintaining accurate, well-organised records
- Photocopying teaching materials and school communications
- Updating school systems with pupil and staff information
- Maintaining student records in line with school procedures
- Supporting incoming and outgoing communication, including emails and newsletters
- Assisting staff with admin tasks such as data entry and document preparation
- Following confidentiality and safeguarding procedures at all times

The details
- Hours: 10 hours per week (2 hours per day, start time between 8:30am and 9:00am, agreed at interview)
- Contract: Term time only
- All pay rates quoted are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
