What you will be doing:
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences and physical needs.
- Working alongside teachers, SEND professionals and therapists to deliver personalised support.
- Helping children develop fine motor skills, independence and confidence in the classroom.
- Using sensory strategies and therapeutic approaches to support learning and wellbeing.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and celebrating every success, big or small.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a degree in Occupational Therapy or is due to graduate this year.
- Has a genuine interest in working with children with SEND.
- Is calm, patient and enjoys finding creative ways to help children succeed.
- Works well as part of a team and communicates confidently.
- Has experience with children or young people through placements, volunteering or previous work, although this isn’t essential.
