Protocol Education is working closely with a number of welcoming nurseries across South Bristol that are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to join their teams as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with childcare experience who are passionate about early years education and want to make a positive impact during some of the most important stages of a child's development. Whether your experience comes from nurseries, childminding, babysitting, family support, children's clubs or other childcare settings, we'd love to hear from you.

Formal childcare qualifications aren't essential for these roles. What matters most is your experience with children, your positive attitude and your genuine passion for supporting young learners.

The Role

• Supporting children aged 0-5 in their learning, play and daily routines
• Encouraging children's social, emotional and physical development
• Helping to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
• Supporting creative activities, outdoor play, storytelling and sensory learning
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Assisting with snack times, routines and day-to-day nursery activities
• Following safeguarding procedures and maintaining children's wellbeing at all times

What We're Looking For

• Previous childcare experience, whether professional, voluntary or personal
• A genuine love of working with young children
• Pediatric First Aid certification (a bonus - but not essential)
• A patient, caring and energetic personality
• Confidence engaging children through play and activities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude
• A desire to help children feel happy, safe and supported

What We Need to Clear You

• Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address
• CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any explained gaps
• References covering the last 2 years (including childcare references where applicable)
• Overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more in the past 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
