SEND Teaching Assistant – North Shields (Full-Time)

Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in North Shields. You'll support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, develop independence and build confidence throughout the school day.
You'll play an important role in supporting both academic and personal development, adapting your approach to meet individual needs and helping learners overcome barriers to success.

- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Helping learners engage with classroom activities
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Supporting communication and social interaction
- Implementing individual support strategies
- Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
- Monitoring progress and celebrating achievements
- Promoting a positive and inclusive environment
