Are you passionate about helping young people with complex needs thrive academically and personally? We are looking for a Secondary SEN Teacher in the Durham area to deliver structured, autism-friendly lessons and support pupils to grow in confidence and independence. You will work with small classes, adapting your approaches to support communication, behaviour and sensory needs, and ensure pupils feel safe, understood and able to engage with learning.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan and teach engaging lessons suited to individual needs.
- Support pupils’ emotional regulation, communication and social development.
- Create predictable, structured learning environments.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and wider support teams.
