We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to provide supply cover within educational settings in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. The role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, ensuring their educational and social development in line with statutory requirements and school policies. Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognised within the United Kingdom.
  • Evidence of recent and relevant continuing professional development in special educational needs.

Education

  • A degree in education or a related discipline is essential.
  • Additional qualifications or training in special educational needs are highly desirable.

Experience

  • Proven experience teaching pupils with special educational needs in a school environment.
  • Experience of working in a variety of educational settings, preferably including both mainstream and specialist provisions.
