The role
As a Religious Education Teacher, you will:
- Teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE RS experience welcomed)
- Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons covering religion, ethics, and philosophy
- Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and respectful debate
- Differentiate effectively to support pupils of mixed abilities, including those with SEND
- Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment
- Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Work collaboratively within the Humanities faculty and wider staff team
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)
- Has experience teaching RE / RS in UK secondary schools
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management
- Is committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding
- Is reliable, adaptable, and professional
- Is happy to work PAYE, with clear and transparent pay
This role is suitable for ECTs, experienced teachers, and those returning to the profession.
Pay & contract
£163–£265.92 per day, depending on experience. Weekly PAYE pay – no umbrella companies, no hidden deductions. Long-term and day-to-day supply opportunities available, with potential for continuity.
