We’re working with welcoming schools across Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland who are looking for confident, calm and motivated Behaviour/Learning Support Assistants to start immediately. This role is ideal for graduates, especially if you’re thinking about a future in teaching, educational psychology, pastoral work or youth support.

You’ll be:
- Supporting pupils in lessons, small groups or 1:1
- Helping manage behaviour and engagement in a positive, consistent way
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils who need extra support
- Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
This role is perfect if you:
- Are a graduate, especially in psychology, criminology, education, sociology, sports science or similar
- Have experience in support work, youth work, mentoring, coaching or care
- Are resilient, patient and confident building rapport
- Want hands-on school experience that genuinely counts

Requirements
- The right to work in the UK
- A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
- Two professional references
- A calm, reliable and professional approach
- The ability to commit to school hours during term time
Experience supporting behaviour or additional needs is a big plus, but not essential if you’ve got the right mindset and motivation.
