English lessons are calm, structured and purposeful, giving students the space to think, write and speak with confidence.
The English department is well organised, with clear approaches to assessment, exam preparation and extended writing. There’s an emphasis on consistency and shared practice, allowing teachers to focus on teaching with depth rather than constantly reinventing resources.
You’ll teach across KS3 and KS4, with potential Sixth Form teaching depending on experience. Students are supported to develop strong literacy skills, and behaviour systems allow discussion without disruption.
