We are looking for a caring and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a welcoming school environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by helping students develop confidence, independence, and key learning skills.

Job Duties

  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Support students in their learning activities both in group settings and on a one-to-one basis
  • Provide assistance with personal care needs as required
  • Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or individuals with SEND (in a school setting or personal experience)
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

Education

  • Relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs is desirable but not mandatory.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with students

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions

  • Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Work within a school environment
  • Potential for additional training and development opportunities
  • Reduced Classes (7-9 students)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
