The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.

You’ll be supporting children on a daily basis, helping them feel safe, understood and confident in school. For some pupils, that means support with learning. For others, it’s emotional regulation, routines or simply having a calm, trusted adult by their side.

What the role looks like day to day:

  • Providing 1:1 support in the classroom and around the school
  • Helping pupils manage transitions and stay engaged in learning
  • Using clear, calm and encouraging communication
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support teams
  • Creating a positive, inclusive environment, even on the tougher days

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people, in schools, care, youth work or similar settings
  • A patient, positive approach and a good sense of humour
  • Confidence building relationships and staying calm under pressure
  • A proactive mindset, you see what needs doing and step in
  • Some understanding of SEND is helpful, and training is provided if you’re keen to learn
