I am working with a warm, welcoming specialist setting looking for a PMLD Teaching Assistant who brings patience, creativity, and genuine care into the classroom every single day. What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), helping them access learning in a way that works for them.
  • Supporting sensory-based learning and personalised activities.
  • Assisting with personal care in a respectful, dignified way.
  • Encouraging communication through gestures, sounds, and assistive tools.
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
  • Creating a calm, safe, and engaging environment where pupils can thrive.

  • Experience supporting SEND, PMLD, or complex needs is ideal.

Bonus points if you’re familiar with sensory strategies, PECS, or Makaton, but don’t worry if not, support and training will be provided.
