Seeking a learning support assistant/teaching assistant to join a specialist school in Havering. You will be joining a great team that predominantly work with children who have a variety of special needs, including MLD, SLD, ASD and PMLD. Therefore, a desire to assist in this area is required, but no experience is necessary!

A friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning, as well as the ability to quickly build up strong relationships and rapport with individual children is important.

Responsibilities:

This school requires staff on a long term, full-time and permanent basis (5 days a week between the hours of 8:30am-15:30pm). Support a team working with children who have various SEND needs, with a focus on building positive relationships and supporting individual learning needs.

Qualifications:
  • Certificates in Manual handling, Hoist, First Aid, Care would be admired.
  • No experience is required; however, a healthcare or social care background or personal experience supporting SEND is beneficial.
