We’re working with friendly, inclusive primary schools in Hackney who are on the lookout for a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant. This is a chance to play a key role in those all-important early years, helping young learners build confidence, curiosity, and a love for school from day one. You’ll work closely with class teachers to bring lessons to life, support children as they find their feet, and create a nurturing space where every child feels safe, supported, and ready to grow. What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils across KS1 with daily classroom activities
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom routines
  • Working with small groups to build key skills in Phonics, Reading, Writing and Maths
  • Providing 1:1 support to help children stay engaged and on track
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a calm, supportive environment
  • Helping children develop confidence, independence, and strong social skills
