We are working with a high-performing and forward-thinking secondary school in Hackney that is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join their dedicated team on a supply basis from January 2026. The school is part of an ambitious academy trust committed to excellence. What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering engaging and high-quality Geography lessons up to KS4
- Planning and implementing challenging schemes of work aligned with the UK curriculum
- Assessing, tracking, and monitoring pupil progress
- Providing timely feedback to support student achievement
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure curriculum consistency
- Supporting and contributing to wider school initiatives and extracurricular activities
You’ll need:
- A degree in Geography or a related subject
- Experience teaching Geography to KS4 (or an ECT eager to develop your skills)
- Strong knowledge of the UK secondary curriculum
- Excellent behaviour management and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with students, staff, parents, and external partners
- A collaborative and proactive approach
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
