Make a real difference in one child’s school journey. We’re looking for a calm, committed, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a primary pupil in Bradford who needs support managing challenging behaviour. This is a chance to be that steady, trusted adult who helps a child feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing consistent, positive support in and out of the classroom
- Using de-escalation strategies and a calm approach to help manage behaviour
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider staff team
- Building trust and routine so the child can thrive in school life
What we’re looking for:
- Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour or SEND
- A patient, resilient nature (with a good sense of humour helps too!)
- Confidence working as part of a team but able to take initiative 1:1
- A commitment to making every day a fresh start for the pupil you support
