Are you an experienced EYFS Specialist Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young learners during the crucial early stages of their education? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in LS4. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and can make a positive impact on children's learning and development.

Essential Requirements

  • Must be confident teaching phonics interventions and small group sessions
  • Must have experience using the Little Wandle phonics programme
  • Must be able to conduct and record EYFS observations accurately
  • Experience supporting children within an EYFS setting
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A nurturing, proactive and child-centred approach

The Role

  • Supporting teaching and learning across the EYFS classroom.
  • Delivering Little Wandle phonics sessions to individuals and small groups.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and adapting support where required.
  • Conducting detailed observations in line with EYFS requirements.
  • Contributing to assessments, learning journeys and developmental records.
  • Supporting children's social, emotional and academic development.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, parents and wider school staff.

This role is part-time; however, there is flexibility for a conversation around this.
