We are seeking a passionate and experienced Room Leader to join our welcoming nursery in Leeds (LS11). This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic childcare professional who is committed to providing outstanding early years education and care, particularly within a baby room environment. As a Room Leader, you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive. You will lead and support a team of practitioners, ensuring the highest standards of care and learning are consistently maintained.
What We're Looking For
- Holds a Level 3 Childcare qualification or above
- Has experience leading a nursery room, ideally within a baby room setting
- Demonstrates a genuine passion for childcare and early years development
- Has a caring, nurturing, and patient approach
- Possesses strong organisational and communication skills
- Can effectively lead, motivate, and support a team
- Is committed to delivering high-quality care and learning experiences
- Has a good understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of the baby room
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s learning and development
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Support, mentor, and motivate room staff to achieve the highest standards
- Ensure a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with nursery policies and procedures
- Contribute to the overall success and continuous improvement of the nursery
