Protocol Education is working closely with welcoming primary schools across BS2 to find caring, dependable and adaptable Learning Support Assistants who love supporting children in Key Stage 1. These roles are perfect for LSAs who understand just how important those early years of school are. You’ll be someone who brings patience, encouragement and consistency into the classroom, helping young learners feel secure and ready to engage each day.

Whether you’re supporting phonics, early reading, number work or classroom routines, your impact will be felt in those small but powerful daily wins. You’ll mainly be working across KS1, with occasional support in EYFS or lower KS2 where needed. This could involve one to one support or leading small group interventions, always focused on helping pupils build confidence, develop positive behaviour and grow a genuine love of learning.

Pay: £89 to £94 per day

Location: BS2

A bit about you:

  • Comfortable supporting children aged 4 to 7
  • Patient, calm and nurturing in the classroom
  • Friendly, approachable and reassuring for young learners
  • Happy to adapt and support where needed
  • Understanding of children’s needs, including additional and SEND needs

What we need to clear you:

  • Passport
  • Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence, utility bill, council tax bill or P45/P60
  • CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
  • Two years of references, including childcare where applicable
  • OSP0 if you’ve lived overseas for three months or more in the last five years
