A progressive school in Barnet is looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with KS2 children with SEMH and ASD needs. This position starts May 2025 - July 2025. You will be working 1:1 and with small groups of children under the guidance of the Class Teacher. The school is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted and is striving to be ‘outstanding’. The children are friendly and eager to learn, and the staff are very supportive. The school is a 3-form entry and has excellent classroom facilities and a huge playing field. Free parking available around the school. Pay starts from £90.00 per day.
The successful candidate will have:
- At least one year’s experience working with children, preferably in an education
- An interest in supporting children with SEMH and ASD needs
- Good Literacy and numeracy skills
- A great understanding of behaviour strategies
- Ideally you will also have an NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistant or equivalent
