They’re looking for a Flexible Learning Partner to provide dedicated 1:1 support within a Year 6 classroom, helping a pupil with complex SEND needs navigate this important stage of their school journey. This is a role for someone who understands that progress isn’t always measured in worksheets completed. Sometimes it’s about building trust, celebrating small wins, and helping a child believe in themselves.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support within a Year 6 classroom
- Supporting a pupil with complex SEND needs throughout the school day
- Helping with emotional regulation, communication, and engagement in learning
- Encouraging confidence, resilience, and independence
- Supporting positive routines and transitions during a key stage of education
- Working closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to ensure consistent support

We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous SEND experience within a school or similar setting
- Feels confident supporting pupils with complex additional needs

- Believes in encouraging children to be ready, respectful, and caring every day
- Is reliable, proactive, and ready to start ASAP
Due to the location of the school in Longwell Green (BS30), driving is preferred. However, the school can also be accessed via local bus routes and nearby transport links.
Essential requirements:
- Enhanced child-only DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
- References covering the last 24 months
- Right to work in the UK
- Overseas police checks required for any overseas stays longer than 3 months within the past 5 years
