A welcoming and inclusive school in Kingston is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Assist students with a range of SEN, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements.
  • Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom to encourage engagement and independence.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to deliver tailored learning plans.
  • Foster a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy and excellent communication skills.
  • Is proactive, adaptable and passionate about supporting young people.
  • Holds a DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
  • Has the right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
