We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join a supportive specialist education setting in Kingston upon Thames, helping pupils with Special Educational Needs thrive both academically and personally.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver engaging, tailored lessons to students with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs.
  • Support students in achieving their EHCP targets.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external agencies.
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience working with children with SEN, either in mainstream or specialist settings
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
  • Commitment to helping all pupils succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
