Protocol Education is partnering with nurseries and primary schools in BS31 to recruit caring, dependable and flexible Early Years Practitioners ready to step into roles as soon as possible. We’re looking for practitioners who truly believe in the magic of the early years. You’ll be someone who brings calm, consistency and genuine warmth to your setting, and who understands how those first secure relationships shape everything that follows.

As children return for a new term, your steady presence will help them feel safe, settled and ready to flourish. With roles starting after half-term, now is a great time to line up your next opportunity. We focus on matching you with short and long-term placements that suit your experience, preferences and availability. It’s about finding somewhere you feel valued and comfortable, not just filling a timetable.

In your role, you’ll support children across EYFS, planning and delivering engaging, play‑led experiences that build early communication, phonics foundations, number awareness and independence. From leading small group activities to guiding daily routines and offering one‑to‑one support, you’ll help children grow in confidence and curiosity every single day. You’ll model positive behaviour, encourage exploration and lay strong foundations for future learning.

You’ll join welcoming, inclusive settings where teamwork matters, wellbeing is prioritised and your professional voice is respected. Places where the small wins are celebrated and everyone pulls together. If you’re ready for a fresh start after half-term and want to make a meaningful difference in those crucial early years, this could be the perfect next step.
