Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning? Protocol Education is recruiting an Inclusion and Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist PRU supporting pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education or require alternative provision.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with SEMH needs
  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
  • Assisting with personalised learning programmes
  • Supporting pupils during transitions and unstructured times
  • Helping students develop confidence and resilience
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team

Working Hours:

  • Monday: 8:30am – 4:15pm
  • Tuesday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
  • Wednesday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
  • Thursday: 8:30am – 4:15pm
  • Friday: 8:30am – 3:00pm

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
  • Be committed to supporting vulnerable learners
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
  • Be available on a full-time basis

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date. Protocol Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’, this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants. We offer FREE online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
