A ‘Outstanding’ school in Ilford are seeking a Full‑Time experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who have learning difficulties, complex behaviours and physical or sensory disabilities. This position starts September 2026 for the academic year. The staff are highly supportive, and creativity is encouraged. They have an excellent staff well‑being package and seek out career development opportunities for all staff.
Responsibilities
- Supporting structured routines and personalised learning activities
- Helping pupils regulate emotions and feel safe in their environment
- Encouraging communication through verbal and non‑verbal methods
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
- Creating a calm, consistent, and engaging space where pupils can thrive
