MFL Teacher in Huddersfield

A forward-thinking secondary school in Huddersfield, HD8 is looking for a passionate Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will teach predominantly French and Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students discover the value of languages both inside and beyond the classroom.

What you'll be doing:

• Planning and delivering engaging MFL lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teaching French and Spanish to students of varying abilities
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel confident to participate
• Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback
• Preparing students for GCSE examinations
• Contributing to the wider life of the MFL department and school community

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Has experience teaching French and/or Spanish at secondary level
• Is passionate about language learning and cultural awareness
• Can inspire, motivate, and engage students of all abilities
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills
• Is committed to achieving the best outcomes for every learner

You'll stand out if you have:

• Experience teaching both French and Spanish to GCSE level
• Strong GCSE results and a track record of raising attainment
• Experience supporting intervention or enrichment activities
• Knowledge of current MFL curriculum developments and assessment requirements
