Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to education? Do you have the skills to engage, motivate, and support pupils at risk of exclusion? We are seeking a dedicated Engagement Coach to deliver a 12-week Restorative Re-Engagement Programme at our Hounslow site, supporting secondary-aged pupils to improve behaviour, rebuild confidence, and successfully reintegrate into mainstream school.

About the Role

Based in Hounslow, you will work with small cohorts of up to 6 pupils who may be at risk of permanent exclusion, frequently suspended, or disengaged from learning. You will provide structured support through mentoring, restorative practice, and practical learning approaches. This is a part-time role (5 hours per day), working either: 9:30am – 2:00pm, or 10:30am – 3:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver restorative behaviour interventions in a small group setting
  • Support pupils to re-engage with education and improve attendance
  • Develop emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Facilitate vocational and hands-on learning activities
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils
  • Work closely with schools to support reintegration
  • Monitor, track, and report on pupil progress

  • Experience working with young people with behavioural, SEMH, or additional needs
  • Background in mentoring, youth work, education, or alternative provision
  • Confidence managing challenging behaviour in a calm, restorative manner
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
