Are you a passionate Catering Teacher looking for a part-time opportunity from September? We are working with a SEN secondary school in Middlesbrough who are looking for a dedicated Catering Teacher to join their Technology Department on a 0.3 timetable.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging Food & Catering lessons
  • Teach students across the relevant Key Stages
  • Develop students' practical cooking and food preparation skills
  • Support students in developing their knowledge of nutrition, food science and healthy eating
  • Prepare students effectively for assessments and examinations where required
  • Differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, safety and practical working
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Technology Department

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has experience teaching Food Technology, Catering or Food Preparation & Nutrition
  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has strong subject knowledge and practical experience
  • Can deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
  • Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Is committed to supporting students' progress and development
  • Can work effectively as part of a wider Technology team
  • Is available for a 0.3 timetable from September
