What you’ll be doing:

Teaching Design and Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach your specialist area, such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering or Food Technology.
Delivering engaging, well-planned lessons that encourage creativity, practical skills and innovative thinking.
Creating a positive, inclusive classroom and workshop environment where every student feels confident to design, make and achieve.
Assessing progress, providing meaningful feedback and helping pupils develop valuable technical and problem-solving skills.
Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to the wider life of the school.

What we’re looking for:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Design and Technology within a secondary school.
Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
A genuine commitment to helping young people develop practical skills, creativity and confidence.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
