Learning Support Assistant – SEN School – Harlow | September Start

Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs?

We are working with a fantastic purpose‑built special school in Harlow that is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants for a September start. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for 64 pupils with SEMH and associated needs, alongside a residential provision for 15 pupils.

The school is committed to helping pupils develop emotional regulation, build positive relationships, and re‑engage with learning in a safe and supportive setting. Staff work closely with pupils to provide consistency, structure, and encouragement throughout their education journey.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils both in the classroom and within wider school life, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve their potential.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people with SEMH or SEND
  • Be calm, resilient, and patient
  • Be passionate about making a positive impact on vulnerable learners
  • Be able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
