Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential? We are working with a supportive and inclusive SEMH school in the Harlow area that is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September.
The school provides a structured, nurturing environment for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, focusing on helping each young person develop emotional regulation, build positive relationships, and re-engage with learning. Staff work collaboratively to create a safe and supportive space where pupils can grow in confidence, resilience, and independence.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and wider support teams to provide tailored support both inside and outside the classroom. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who may face barriers to learning and engagement.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND/SEMH
- Be patient, resilient, and calm under pressure
- Have a genuine passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers
- Be able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- Be committed to maintaining a safe, consistent, and supportive learning environment
