Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Teaching Assistants for long-term positions within welcoming primary schools in Greenwich.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Experience supporting individuals with SEN is advantageous.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
