We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Grays. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about education and committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential.

Working within Key Stage 2, you will play an important role in supporting pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing, while contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and learning activities.
  • Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence.
  • Support children with varying learning needs and abilities.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Help maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment.

what you will need:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school, SEN, or care setting.
  • A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
