Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant Specialist SEND School – Grays

Protocol Education are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist school in Grays, supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) within the school’s pre-formal pathway.
About the Role
You will be working with students who are unable to access the national curriculum and instead follow individualised learning programmes. Support may be provided across the whole class or on a 1:1 basis with a named pupil. Students you will support may have a range of needs including SLD, MLD, ASD and PMLD. While experience is beneficial, it is not essential—a genuine desire to support children with complex needs is key.
We Are Looking for Candidates Who:
- Have a strong commitment and passion for working with pupils with a wide and diverse range of SEN
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Are flexible and able to support teachers in delivering high-quality learning
- Want to be part of a creative, dynamic team with high expectations for pupils
- Can build positive relationships and rapport with individual children
Certificates in Manual Handling, Hoist, First Aid or Care would be advantageous, but are not required.
