Are you a SEND teacher who believes every child deserves to feel safe, understood and capable of success? Protocol Education is working with a supportive Primary School in Gateshead to recruit a SEND Teacher for a long-term role. This setting focuses on consistency, emotional wellbeing and helping pupils build confidence at their own pace.
Your role will include:
- Teaching pupils with SEND using a calm, structured and flexible approach
- Planning and adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs
- Creating a safe, predictable learning environment where pupils feel secure
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Working closely with support staff, SENCOs and families
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds UK QTS (or equivalent)
- Has experience working with SEND pupils
- Brings a patient, reflective and nurturing teaching style
- Has a good understanding of individual support plans and EHCPs
- Holds an enhanced DBS (or is happy to apply)
