Are you a SEND teacher who believes every child deserves to feel safe, understood and capable of success? Someone who brings patience, structure and compassion into the classroom, even on the tricky days? This could be a really meaningful next step. Protocol Education is working with a supportive Primary School in Gateshead to recruit a SEND Teacher for a long-term role. This setting focuses on consistency, emotional wellbeing and helping pupils build confidence at their own pace.
Your role will include:
- Teaching pupils with SEND using a calm, structured and flexible approach
- Planning and adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs
- Creating a safe, predictable learning environment where pupils feel secure
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Working closely with support staff, SENCOs and families
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds UK QTS (or equivalent)
- Has experience working with SEND pupils
- Brings a patient, reflective and nurturing teaching style
- Has a good understanding of individual support plans and EHCPs
- Holds an enhanced DBS (or is happy to apply)
