Our partner primary school in Gateshead is seeking an enthusiastic Psychology graduate to join their dedicated support team as a Learning Support Assistant.

About the Role

You’ll work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support.
  • Help children overcome barriers to learning.
  • Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and SEMH.
  • Encourage confidence, independence and social interaction.
  • Deliver targeted interventions.
  • Monitor pupil engagement and progress.
  • Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Support children throughout the school day.
