BSL Teaching Assistant Level 2 – Full Time – Gateshead
Are you a qualified BSL signer looking to make a meaningful difference in education? A specialist school in Gateshead is looking to appoint a Level 2 BSL Teaching Assistant to support pupils with hearing impairments and communication needs from September.
Your Role
- Use British Sign Language to facilitate communication in lessons
- Support pupils academically, socially and emotionally
- Provide tailored support on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
- Encourage independence, confidence and engagement
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs
