We are seeking a compassionate BSL Learning Support Assistant to work across Gateshead, supporting children and young people with hearing impairments in a variety of educational settings. You’ll be instrumental in creating inclusive learning environments where every pupil can participate, contribute and thrive.
The role includes:
- Supporting communication through British Sign Language
- Helping pupils access classroom learning and activities
- Encouraging participation in group work and social interactions
- Supporting independence and self-confidence
- Working flexibly across different provisions
Requirements:
- BSL Level 2 qualification
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to inclusive education
