Protocol Education is working alongside a friendly Primary School in Gateshead to appoint a KS2 Teacher for a long-term position. This is a school that values curiosity, teamwork and steady progress, giving pupils the space and support they need to thrive both academically and personally.
The role will involve:
- Teaching a KS2 class with clarity, consistency and care
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that challenge thinking and encourage independence
- Creating a calm, inclusive classroom where children feel confident to ask questions and take risks
- Supporting pupils to develop resilience, self-belief and a positive attitude to learning
- Promoting positive behaviour through clear expectations and mutual respect
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to strengthen the wider school community
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds UK QTS (or equivalent)
- Has experience teaching within KS2
- Brings a thoughtful, patient and reflective approach to teaching
- Has a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and child development
- Is a clear communicator and enjoys being part of a team
- Has the right to work in the UK
- Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service, or is happy to apply
- Can provide two professional, child-related references
