We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive provision in Gateshead, working with children who benefit from a more personalised approach to learning. This role involves working across several educational provisions, so being able to drive and having access to your own vehicle is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Lead whole-class and small group learning.
- Support pupils with SEMH, SEND and communication needs.
- Deliver engaging activities that encourage confidence and independence.
- Work alongside teachers and support staff to meet individual learning goals.
You’ll need:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Experience supporting vulnerable learners.
- A flexible approach.
- A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle.
- Some experience with BSL.
