Protocol Education is recruiting for a specialist SEN school in Gateshead and is looking for graduates to join their team as Teaching Assistants.
You'll gain hands‑on experience supporting pupils with additional needs while developing skills that could help you move into a career in teaching, psychology, therapy, social care or SEN.

What You'll Do
- Support pupils throughout the school day
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support
- Help pupils access lessons and activities
- Encourage communication and independence
- Support pupils' social and emotional development
- Build positive relationships with pupils
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals
- Help create a positive and supportive learning environment

You'll need:
- A degree
- A genuine interest in supporting children
- Good communication skills
- Patience and resilience
- A positive and professional approach
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A willingness to learn and develop your SEN knowledge
Previous SEN experience is not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
