Protocol Education is recruiting for a caring and nurturing school in Gateshead that is seeking a full‑time BSL Teaching Assistant from September. The school is committed to ensuring all pupils receive the support they need to succeed both academically and socially.
Role Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with hearing and communication needs
- Using BSL to facilitate understanding and participation
- Delivering one‑to‑one and group support sessions
- Encouraging communication and independence
- Assisting with emotional wellbeing and confidence building
- Working closely with teaching and support staff
Candidate Profile
- BSL Level 2 qualified
- Passionate about supporting children and young people
- Positive, patient and resilient
- Experience in a school or support setting is advantageous
- Full UK driving licence required
